Narrative: Originally a 575 acre site with nearly a century's history of chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing. A 140 acre portion of the site has been deleted from the NPL and redeveloped for commercial purposes. Work continues to address risk on the remainder of the site.

Bridgeport Rental & Oil Services
Location: Bridgeport, Gloucester County
Narrative: Thirty acre waste oil storage and recovery facility that operated from 1960 to 1981. A thirteen acre lagoon on the property contained about 2.5 million gallons of PCB-contaminated oil, 80,000 cubic yards of contaminated sediments, and 70 million gallons of contaminated wastewater. These activities resulted in groundwater contamination, and a lagoon overflow in the 1970s contaminated an adjacent wetland.
