My vision for this section of the site is of a resource where folks can go to find information about the more interesting natural areas in the United States. Not necessary the most popular or the best known, though many of those are inherently interesting. Rather, I want to focus on the little-known jewels - places that locals may know about, but few others.
Alas, I have other things to do besides wander around the country investigating interesting natural areas. It's a sad fact, but true.
Perhaps as a result, this section of the Eco-USA site is woefully incomplete and falls well short of my vision for it. My hope is that by dropping other, less interesting parts of the site I can free up time to get away from the current link farm approach and bring the Places section up to an acceptable standard.
Failing that, I'll delete it and concentrate on other things.
