Pink Lady's Slipper Cypripedium acaule Pink Lady's Slipper requires the presence of an underground fungus to survive; as a result, many transplant efforts fail and people who thoughtlessly collect these plants from the wild end up killing them, thus contributing to their increasing rarity.
