Wildflowers

There are thousands of species of wildflowers in the United States. Eco-USA has photos and very brief profiles of a few dozen of them; links appear below. As you'll see if you look at very many of them, some photos are better than others. I've provided the best I have.

Many wildflowers species have multiple common names, and I've listed some of them under more than one of their names. It's also true that the names and/or taxonomic classifications of some of these are not settled, and may even be a matter of spirited debate.

I leave those controversies to others, as I am completely unqualified to participate in them, and simply try to provide the best information I can. As always, corrections, clarifications, and additional information are most welcome.
