      Flora: Rue Anemone

Rue Anemone
Anemonella thalictroides

Rue Anemone photo

Rue Anemone is a spring wildflower, and member of the Buttercup family. The flower has a variable number of petals (up to 10 or so) that are generally white, though some have a pinkish cast. The leaves are partially divided into three lobes. It is found in most of the United States east of the Mississippi, and a bit west of that. These individuals were photographed in central Indiana.
