Flora: Rattlesnake Fern Rattlesnake Fern Botrychium virginianum Photographed in central Indiana. A correspondent from northeastern Minnesota has suggested that the pictured species might actually be the Leathery Grape Fern, Botrychium multifudum or Botrychium rugulosum (common name unknown to me). Apparently it's difficult to tell from this rather low resolution photo. I'll try to get it sorted out.
